The Animals Pedal / Tioga Road Cycling Distortion is a distortion pedal that reproduces the early model of the famous distortion pedal RAT. It reproduces detailed distortion beautifully, and produces a comfortable crunch tone just like the original, as well as a thick tone like fuzz. This classic distortion pedal with a wide range of expression is now available in a familiar size, allowing you to play the old rock sound more easily.

Volume: Adjusts the volume.
Tone: Controls the tone, focusing on the high-frequency components. Turning it clockwise strengthens the high frequencies, and turning it counterclockwise emphasizes the low frequencies.
Dist: Adjusts the strength of the distortion.
Toggle switch: Switches the texture and volume of the distortion.

楽しく実験

RAT系だと言われていますが本物RATを使ったことがないので、
比較ではなく純粋に本ペダルの評価です。
とにかく低音が凄く強調されます。
かと言ってFUZZほど暴れず潰れず。
FUZZ好きの人には物足りないかも。
けど、FUZZとは住み分ける激しい歪みと解すれば、
当たりです。
個人的にFUZZ欲しいと思っていたのですが、
どうしても暴れる感じと音が潰れて鳴るのが好みではなくて、
こっちにしました。（FUZZ好きの方にはスミマセン…）
ディストーションよりも暴れる、
けどFUZZほど暴れないのが気に入りました。
ミニトグルで音質、音量、歪み感はだいぶ変わりますので、
好みの歪みを見つけるのに、楽しく実験できます。
音の感触としては、ザクザクよりはゴギゴギ・ギリギリって感じです。
FUZZのヂリヂリとはまた違います。
補足：ローゲイン設定で他のドライブと繋ぐと、
めちゃくちゃロー、ミッドブーストが利いて、
特に単音ソロの芯・コシが太くなって音の存在感が増します。
本来の使い方ではないかもしれませんが、
試してみる価値はあります。
