■Satchur8? is a pickup designed by DiMarzio for guitar master Joe Satriani, and has a warm, sweet, singing lead tone with an expressive attack. It also has a wide dynamic range, and by changing the nuance of picking depending on the scene, it can freely respond to the volume desired by the player.
In developing this pickup, we chose a high output Alnico 8 magnet to match Joe's playing style, which requires a buttery smooth midrange, a deep and full-bodied bass range, and a warm, singing solo tone. In addition, the coil is tuned to give Joe his unique sound. The rich output of the Alnico 8 gives the Satchur8 a wonderfully hot humbucking tone.
The Satchur8? has a clarity unlike any other pickup, excellent sound penetration, and a smooth yet bright tone. It also has a solid presence in each note.
