Blues, rock, jazz, country...this American-made amp with its silver grille and black or silver panel transcends genres and is beloved by guitarists worldwide.

Was it possible to create a pedal with the tone of the ""Twin,"" ""Super,"" and ""Deluxe"" from the Blackface era? That was the beginning of the One Control Sonic Blue Twanger.

American amps are ideal for creating a tone reminiscent of a clear, cloudless sky. The bell-like tone, created by the endlessly penetrating treble, the stable bottom that accentuates it, and the slightly subdued mids, is the ""model clean tone"" that every guitarist imagines.

Furthermore, amps, especially from the blackface era, also sound exquisite when the gain is turned up. The incomparable sound, particularly when the vacuum tubes gradually saturate and begin to distort, is truly magnificent.

Another major feature of American amps is the painfully brutal distortion they produce when turned up to full gain. That sound pierces deep into your eardrums, leaving your ears ringing for hours at a time.

Of course, these tones are easily produced using authentic American amps. However, achieving that sound using British or transistor amps was extremely difficult. Sonic Blue Twanger is an AIAB (amp-in-a-box) pedal that captures the sound of vintage American amps from the blackface era.
AIAB (amp-in-a-box) refers to a pedal that feels like an amp housed in a small box. BJF, the designer of Sonic Blue Twanger, has previously packed a variety of amp tones into small boxes.

Sonic Blue Twanger is like an American amp with a two-channel configuration. Switching between Rhythm and Lead using the switch on the side of the unit works just like switching channels on an actual amp.
Rhythm mode has a maximum gain range of approximately +18dB, and primarily produces tones ranging from clean tones to low-gain drive tones. It can also be left on all the time and used as a preamp pedal. Place it after a spatial effect to add an ""American"" feel to your amp.

Lead mode has a maximum gain range of around +40dB, covering everything from a lightly pushed clean tone to the beautiful realm where the vacuum tubes gradually saturate and begin to distort, all the way to a crunching overdrive and that unique, painfully piercing distortion.

The Sonic Blue Twanger's control knobs are configured to mimic the operation of a real amp. Turning up the preamp ""Vol"" increases distortion and harmonics, and also slightly increases the volume. The power amp ""Master"" adjusts the overall volume, but as you turn it up, the distinctive, powerful distortion in the bass of the sound increases.
The Sonic Blue Twanger even captures the unique behavior of this full-tube amp. For this reason, unlike many overdrives, the knobs do not have separate functions like ""Volume"" and ""Gain."" The ""Vol"" and ""Master"" settings combine to create the overall tone. Featuring controls that are just like a real amp, you can create sounds with the same feel as a real amp. The Sonic Blue Twanger's unique EQ section, the Treble control knob, allows you to control the overall tonal balance with just one knob. Turning it clockwise boosts frequencies above 2 kHz, while turning it counterclockwise reduces treble. Adjust the sound balance to suit the characteristics of the connected guitar and amp.

The Sonic Blue Twanger doesn't just capture the instantaneous sound of an American amp. The pedal itself has the feel and control of an amp itself.
Naturally, it has dynamic response that accurately responds to the guitar's controls and your fingertips. Furthermore, just like a real amp, combining it with other effects opens up new possibilities.
For example, combining it with a Persian Green Screamer can create the legendary Texas blues tone.
Furthermore, the Sonic Blue Twanger can do things that a real amp can't. For example, you can use it as a slightly dirty booster to boost other overdrive pedals.
Not only is it pocket-sized and easy to carry, it can also be powered by a 9V battery.
