Variations

The EMG 85 is a sibling model to the 81. Unlike the 81, it uses an Alnico 5 magnet. Its powerful lows and fat highs make it ideal as a lead pickup. It's versatile and versatile for a wide range of genres, from blues to extreme metal. While the classic combination of an 81 in the bridge and an 85 in the neck is a classic, we also recommend using an 85 in both the bridge and neck.
