The W80, the pinnacle of the Westone Universal Series, has finally arrived. Equipped with a total of eight BA type driver units, four in the high range, two in the mid range, and two in the low range, it delivers an unparalleled wide sound field and accurate reproduction of the original sound.

・Four pure silver cryo-treated OFC cables.
・Eight cables made using a metal single crystal continuous casting process are wrapped in high-quality fluororesin for a highly flexible cable.
■ Two types of cases are included: a large nylon case that can store accessories and portable players, and a small case that is convenient for carrying around. The large nylon case has adjustable dividers.

超高級イヤホン、Westone W80が登場！

スタッフレビュー

W80は、計8つのドラーバーユニットが搭載されているという事ですが、まずは4つの高域ドライバーに注目してみました。
言うまでもなくすごく上質な音で、すべてのディテールをしっかり聴かせてくれます。ライブ音源を聴いた時には、コンサートホールのリバーブまでもリアルに聴こえ、その場にいるかのような感覚でした。高音が命のボーカルは、驚くほど近く感じるので、シンガーが何を歌っているのかを他のイヤホンとは違うレベルで聴く事ができます。

ドライバーが2つ搭載されている中域はそれほど太い印象ではなく、高音との組み合わせにより全体的にスッキリとして聴こえます。ギターのハムバッカーサウンドが目立つロックでは、ヘビーな音に注目させられるよりも爽快感を感じました。
気になる低音については、しっかりと重低音を響かせてくれますが、やはり高音のおかげで、切れ味の良いローフリケンシーを楽しむ事ができます。

サウンド以外では、中の配線が見える透明の「プレミアムケーブル」が付いて来るのが嬉しいポイントの一つです。他にもリモコン付きのスマホ対応ケーブルが付属しており、普段の音楽視聴はこれでOKかなと思いました。専用の小型ケースはもちろん、4色のフェイスプレートも付いてくるので好みによってイヤホンの色を変える事ができます。普段の音楽視聴用としても良いと思いますが、バンドでイヤモニを使う方にはとてもお勧めです。
