The HS5I is a two-way bass-reflex studio monitor. It features a 5-inch woofer for the left frequency (LF) and a 1-inch dome tweeter for the high frequency (HF). It has a bi-amp configuration with 45W for the LF and 25W for the HF, and is equipped with a high-quality power amplifier with a total output of 70W. M5x8 (2x4 sides) are mounted on the top, bottom, and both sides. It can be mounted on walls, ceilings, or battens using separately sold speaker brackets.

A newly developed high-performance 1-inch dome tweeter, along with a dedicated woofer and optimized selection of acoustic components, have resulted in a dramatic improvement in playback capabilities.

■ High-performance dedicated power amplifier

A bi-amp system is employed, amplifying the high and low frequency ranges with dedicated power amplifiers. This provides consistently high-quality, uniform sound with minimal tonal variation.

■ Enclosure design that reduces resonance

Unwanted resonances are thoroughly eliminated, maximizing sound accuracy. The thick MDF, which boasts high rigidity and uniform acoustic characteristics, is joined using a three-way joint structure, a highly durable technique long used in wooden construction.

■ Noise reduction through the latest fluid sound control technology

The new port adopted in the new HS series minimizes air vortices, reducing noise in the audible range by up to 6dB SPL, meeting the high demands of music production environments.

■ Controls and terminals for precise setting to suit the environment

Equipped with ROOM CONTROL, which corrects the low frequencies that tend to be emphasized when speakers are placed near a wall, enabling accurate monitoring. HIGH TRIM The (+2dB, 0, -2dB) settings allow for precise balance adjustments to suit the room and application. The input terminals include both XLR and TRS phone jacks, providing flexible support for a wide range of use cases, including output from mixers, keyboards, and audio interfaces.

The HS5I and HS5IW models have M5x8 (2x4 sides) rigging points (screw holes) on the top, bottom, and both sides. The HS7I, HS7IW, HS8I, and HS8IW models have M8x8 (2x4 sides) rigging points. With separately sold speaker brackets, mounting to walls or ceilings is also possible.
