TWO NOTES Torpedo Reload is an analog interface that includes everything a guitarist or bassist needs for recording. With this, you can create the best recording environment.
■Features
RE-ACT (Attenuator Function)
This function allows you to enjoy the same high-volume tube amp sound even at low volumes. Because the load on the amp changes depending on the attenuation level, lowering the volume with an attenuator can have a negative impact on tone. This unit's unique RE-ACT (Reactive-Active) technology allows the amp to sound with the same speaker impedance regardless of the attenuation level. The attenuated output and line output can be used simultaneously, allowing you to play the sound in a cab while recording the dry signal from the amp via a line output.
REPLAY (Reamp Function)
The recorded signal can be output at instrument level. This output can be re-input to a guitar amp for re-amping. When re-amping, the signal level from the DAW needs to be the same as the actual guitar input level. This unit's unique MATCH function solves this problem.
MATCH (Level Adjustment during Re-amping)
This unit solves the tedious issue of level setting when re-amping. If the level is too high, the amp will distort. Conversely, if the level is too low, the tone's dynamics will be lost. This can be easily achieved using the unit's MATCH function. Simply connect your guitar and play along with the pre-recorded sound, checking the LEDs to match the levels.
Load Box
When using a tube amp, a load such as a speaker cabinet is usually required. Without an appropriate load, a tube amp will malfunction. Therefore, if you don't connect a speaker cabinet, you will need a load box to accept the load instead. A head with an output of up to 150W RMS can be used.
Instrument DI Box Function
The DI function allows you to connect a guitar or bass and output a microphone-level signal. This allows you to send the signal to a microphone preamp or mixer, etc., while preserving the instrument's original, clear sound.
Computer Connection
Two apps are available for use with a computer.
Torpedo Wall of Sound: A computer app for simulating speaker cabinets and microphone placement. Torpedo BlendIR: A computer app for IR (Impulse Response) research and experimentation. Built-in dummy load with an average maximum input of 150W (RMS). Features include attenuator, reamp, load box, and instrument DI functionality. Controls: Replay level, Load box output level, Speaker attenuator volume, Contour control. Maximum speaker output: 25W at 16Ω, 50W at 8Ω, 70W at 4Ω. Dimensions: 320mm (W) x 89mm (H) x 179mm (D). Weight: 4.5kg.
