""Chomage No. 3"" is a model that uses the Tornado Turbo Air system, combining the sound expansion of an open-air type with high airtightness and sound insulation performance.

■ In addition to the Tornado Equalizer system, the newly developed A.I.R. mechanism provides high sound insulation. The driver unit's space is connected with acoustic resistance, and sound from the rear is exhausted through a double high-cut filter, reducing high-frequency sound leakage.
■ The Tornado Equalizer improves sound pressure peaks caused by resonance. The Acoustic Turbo circuit successfully lowers the lowest resonance frequency, and the equivalent vibration system weight, which becomes lighter as the frequency increases, reproduces the entire frequency range with high sensitivity.

ネーミングがなんともユニークなこの「ちょんまげ3号」。ハウジングの後頭部がチョンマゲ？に見えなくはないですね。名前はもちろん、デザインもユニークですが、気になるのはやはり音質。「ちょんまげ3号」には、「トルネード・ターボ・エアー機構」など、独自の音響テクノロジーが取り入れられており、自然な臨場感とリッチな低音を再生してくれます。低音域はたっぷりとした量感があり、広がりのある豊かなサウンド。中高域も柔らかく、非常に聴きやすいので、通勤や通学など、長時間リスニングしても疲れ難い、優しいサウンドです。音の分解能力も価格帯以上のレベルを持っているので、楽曲の細かい音やニュアンスも上手に再現します。
