FretWraps String Muters Medium Walnut are medium-sized fret wraps with a walnut pattern. They're the perfect size for a typical 5-string bass or 6-string classical guitar. Gruv Gear fret wraps can be placed on the fingerboard to mute the strings and reduce unwanted sounds when tapping. Place them between the nut and tuning pegs to eliminate unwanted string resonance and overtones, resulting in a tighter, clearer sound.

~About FretWraps~
・Gruv Gear's signature FretWraps are string dampeners/string mutes loved by studio/session musicians, tapping players, and many other musicians around the world.
・FretWraps are used by wrapping them between the nut and tuning pegs or on the fingerboard.
-When installed between the nut and tuning pegs, they suppress unwanted string resonance and overtones during playing, resulting in a clear, tight sound.

マジックテープが弱い。
演奏中に2Fぐらいまで落ちてきて焦ったw

もう少し長持ちしてほしい

マジックテープの粘着力が３ヶ月程度で低下して使えなくなりました。もうすこし長持ちしてほしいです。
再購入も考えましたが、５弦ベースでミュートの練習をすることを選びました。

【初回レビュー】
アイバニーズのＳＲ５弦ベースで使用しています。
それまで４弦ベースだったのが、必要に迫られて５弦ベースを使うようになったのですが、ミュートが４弦に比べて少し難しい。
まぁ、下手と言われればそれまでですが、そんな時、このFretWrapsの存在を知りました。
　　
お値段もお手頃なので購入して試したところ、なかなかの優れもの。使い方も簡単。
丁寧にミュートすればよいのは分かっているのですが、アマチュアとしてはこのアイテムで結構頑張れます。
　　
注意点としては、
・１フレットに巻くので、開放弦、場合によっては１フレットは弾かない方が良い。
　（そういう意味では４弦ベースだと運用が厳しい。）
・完全にミュートできるわけではなく、あくまで「補完的な」アイテム。
　（それでも効果はあると思いますが。）
　　
なお個人的に気に入っている点が、このWalnutという色。偶然ですが（模様の入り方とはは個体差もあるかと思います）、私の持っているアイバニーズのDEF 色とかなり近いです。純正品と言われても納得しそうです。^^
