Sometimes a ground lift is not enough to remove noise, and the ISO-8 is useful when running signal lines between various pieces of equipment.

Ground lifts are sometimes insufficient to eliminate noise. The ISO-8 is effective when routing signal lines between various devices. It acts as both an isolator and a balancer, providing complete hum control in broadcast and live sound applications. While unbalanced outputs are typically prone to introducing system noise, the ISO-8 eliminates noise at the source.
