■This is a high-quality stereo DI box with a USB port for computers. It converts computer sound files into a balanced stereo signal for PA, recording, and broadcasting, and sends the signal to a mixer.
■No driver installation is required for Mac OSX or Windows XP/Vista/7; simply connect and use. Supporting up to 24-bit/96kHz provides greater headroom and greater detail. No additional sound cards or external converters are required for file transfers, streamlining even the busiest production environments.
■Connects to your computer via the USB port. The built-in headphone amplifier allows you to monitor the D/A converted sound. The MONO-SUM switch converts the stereo signal to mono, making it convenient for checking phase or outputting to two locations simultaneously. It has a single volume control, making it very simple. Two switches on the side of the unit help prevent hum and buzz caused by ground loops. This switch inserts an isolation transformer into the signal path, blocking any DC offset leakage. It's placed to the side because it's not something you change often once you've set it. To further reduce noise, the ground lift switch disconnects pin-1 of the two XLR outputs.
