Variations

The Xone 23 is a 2-channel stereo mixer featuring traditional VCF filters and resonance control. Simultaneous Phono and Line inputs are available for each channel. Gain control is provided via the Phono and Line knobs, and the mixer supports a total of 4 stereo inputs. It incorporates cutting-edge design inherited from the flagship model.

At the heart of the mixer are analog VCF (Voltage Controlled Filter) low-pass and high-pass filters, frequency sweep, and ""Mid to Wild"" resonance control. The FX Loop terminal also allows you to connect to an external effect and return the sound to the filter.

The two stereo channels have independent input level adjustments, and simultaneous Phono and Line inputs allow you to route up to four stereo sources to the main mix and external effects.

The main mix output and microphone input are equipped with XLR (Canon) connectors, a standard feature in professional equipment. A separate RCA REC output is also available. Monitoring functions are also included, including a Booth output with independent volume adjustment, a Cue Mix, and a 9-level LED peak meter.

The Xone 23 inherits the highly visible soft buttons, backlighting, and LED meters from the latest flagship model, the Xone DB4, and also incorporates a uniquely shaped faceplate, giving it a cutting-edge exterior design.

高音質で定評のあるAllen & HeathのDJミキサー、XONE(ゾーン)シリーズ。とりわけ音質の良さと機能性(特にフィルター機能)を求めるDJからは支持が厚く、ハウスやテクノをはじめとする四つ打ちと呼ばれるダンスミュージック界隈において超定番モデルです。
サイズや対応チャンネル数、デジタルFX搭載機など豊富なモデルをラインナップするXONEシリーズの中でも、XONE:23はシンプルな操作性と手の届きやすい価格が魅力。2チャンネル対応、3バンド(KILL)イコライザー、そしてフィルターと、コンパクトな筐体にDJに必要な機能がすべて備わっています。特にXONEシリーズを人気たらしめているのがVCF(Voltage Control Filter)と呼ばれるボルテージコントロールフィルター。一般的なDJミキサーのフィルター機能は可変抵抗式を採用しているのに対して、本モデルをはじめとするXONEシリーズでは電圧制御式を採用。Resonanceノブ、Filter Frequencyノブをそれぞれ搭載し、フィルターのかかり具合を無段階で調節可能です。これらの特徴により、XONEシリーズでは他のDJミキサーとはひと味違った心地よいフィルター・エフェクトが楽しめます。カッチリとしたHOUSEやミニマルなTECHNOなど、ロングミックスでプレイする際の強い味方となることでしょう。

電源はアナログ電源を使用すべし

トロイダルコアのアイソレーショントランス電源（DC12V 5A）が余っていたので迷わずXone23を購入。結果、名人作の真空管プリの性能を簡単に超えてしまった。XLR出力の方がガッツがある印象だ。電源はモロに音質に影響するので重要だ。スイッチング式ACアダプターはいただけない。ケーブル類にもこだわりたいところだ。
