■12-string model of the LL16. This guitar reproduces a well-defined sound suited to the wide range of a 12-string guitar. The solid Englemann spruce and solid rosewood deliver a powerful, perfectly balanced sound.
■A.R.E. [Acoustic Resonance Enhancement] is a wood modification technology developed exclusively by Yamaha. Applying this technology to the guitar's body material creates a rich, mellow tone reminiscent of years of playing. By precisely controlling temperature, humidity, and air pressure without using any chemicals, we achieve rapid changes similar to those experienced in aged wood. This improves sound transmission and vibration efficiency, promotes the extension of mid- and low-frequency components, and accelerates the attack and decay of high-frequency components. This results in a well-balanced, mature, warm sound with fewer harsh overtones.
■ The non-scalloped X-bracing structure used in the ""L Series"" has been further improved using the latest analytical and modeling technology and expert craftsmanship. It maximizes the natural resonance of the wood, delivering deeper, richer mid- and low-frequency sounds.
■ Detail improvements have been made to string spacing, string height, fingerboard binding, neck taper, and more. A new neck shape has been created to better fit guitarists. The newly designed neck provides a stable grip and smooth playability from high to low positions.
■ All models feature a double-action truss rod that applies force in both forward and backward bow directions. This allows for more precise neck adjustment.
■ Equipped with a newly developed passive pickup. A piezo element is installed for each string below the saddle. This passive pickup does not require a power source on the guitar body, and there is no preamp or battery box attached to the guitar itself, faithfully reproducing the dynamic sound of the L Series while maintaining the appearance of an acoustic guitar. The pickup's impact on the natural sound is minimized, creating a distinctive presence even when playing in a band.
