The Pinkman Dirty Boost is a pedal with an easy-to-use circuit that can create sounds ranging from smooth overdrive with mild compression to slightly fuzzy tones. The sound is warm and balanced, adding light compression and distortion to the midrange while retaining a bite in the attack. Additionally, the pedal's output can be set well beyond unity gain to push an amplifier for saturated distortion. Its compact 5.0cm x 5.0cm housing makes it easy to fit on a pedalboard. The pedal can be turned on/off by pressing the footswitch. When on, the LED indicator lights up. When off, the circuit is completely removed from the signal (true bypass). The Pinkman Dirty Boost features two internal trimmers: Drive and Volume. When you turn the pedal over and place it with the footswitch facing you, the Drive trimmer is at the back left, and the Volume trimmer is at the front left. The left and right movements of each trimmer may be reversed depending on the batch. There is no difference in tone, but please check the movement of the trimmers on your pedal by adjusting them yourself. The Drive trimmer starts with light distortion, mid-range compression, and low-end growl. As you increase the Drive, the compression becomes stronger, the sustain becomes longer, and a bit of classic fuzz character is added. The Volume trimmer is close to unity gain at its minimum setting, and you can push the amp by increasing it from there. The factory setting is adjusted to add light distortion near unity gain.
