■Since the world's first rackmount tuner, the DT-1pro, in 1987, KORG has produced legendary instruments that represent the era, including the DTR-1/DTR-2 in 1994 and the DTR-1000/DTR-2000 in 2002. Now, in 2013, they've finally released their latest rackmount model.
■Features a newly developed tuning meter that produces a groundbreaking visual effect. In addition to its exceptionally bright and colorful LEDs, the specially designed acrylic allows you to capture all light in three dimensions, from the surface of the light source to its depth. This allows you to clearly perceive pitch discrepancies and changes at a glance from any distance or angle, bringing a new dimension to the tuning experience for guitarists and bassists.
■The pitchblack Pro is incredibly lightweight, weighing just 363g. Its depth has also been dramatically slimmed down from 113mm to 49mm, allowing it to be installed on an effects board or other equipment. The left and right rackmount adapters can be easily attached and detached, and the unit's bottom can also be used as a stand. This allows it to be used in a variety of non-rack-mounted situations, such as directly on the ground or mounted on a floor monitor.
■Choose from three meter display modes to suit your preferences.
1. Regular Meter
As with a needle-type tuner, tune your instrument so that the center LED of the meter lights up. The LED lights up to the right of center when the pitch is high, and to the left when the pitch is low. The brightness increases from left to right toward the center, allowing you to easily check your tuning status.
2. Strobe Meter
Tune your instrument so that the flow of the meter's LEDs stops. The LEDs flow from left to right when the pitch is high, and from right to left when the pitch is low.
3. Half-Strobe Meter
Tune your instrument so that the meter flow stops and only the center LED lights up. A strobe appears to the right of center when the pitch is high, and to the left of center when the pitch is low. When the pitch is correct, only the center LED lights up.
■The Buffer Out function reduces the effects of noise and changes in the input sound quality. It also features a mute function that allows you to tune without outputting sound from the OUTPUT jack. It also features a MUTE jack that can be turned mute on and off with a footswitch, making it convenient for tuning between songs during a live performance.
