RADIAL / Cube

The RADIAL/Cube is a 500 Series compatible modular frame/rack. It can accommodate up to three 500 Series compatible modules. The top panel has a handle for easy portability.

This modular frame is compatible with the API 500 Series. It can accommodate up to three 500 Series-compatible modules, including API, even if they are not made by Radial. The top panel has a handle, making it easy to carry around the studio, so you can easily bring it close to the sound source and make fine adjustments. The handle can also be removed. It can also be fitted to a desk by attaching separately sold parts.

■Input/Output Terminals
Each slot has XLR and 1/4"" TRS input/output terminals. Input sensitivity depends on the module used. For mic preamp modules, it's mic level, while for limiters and EQs, it's +4dB balanced line level.
■FEED Switch
Until now, you had to connect the output of one module to the input of the next with a cable. With Cube, you can connect modules in series without a cable by simply turning on the FEED switch. Of course, you can also continue connecting modules using cables as before.
■OMNIPORT
OMNIPORT is a 1/4"" TRS terminal whose function changes depending on the module. For example, it can function as an instrument input for a PowerPre preamp, or as a low-impedance DI output for a JDV DI box.
■Power Supply Sharing
Cube's power supply shares 500mA among its three slots. For example, if you use a module requiring 250mA of current in slot 1, the other two slots can use the remaining 250mA combined. Most 500 series modules use around 40-130mA of current.
