The op amp at its heart is a rare metal-can LM308AH, carefully selected even more carefully than NOS stock. The exquisitely set two-band EQ with ""hi-cut"" and ""lo-cut"" effectively suppresses harsh highs and boomy lows. The ""clip"" switch allows you to select three clipping modes: (1) germanium diode, (2) silicon diode, or no clipper diode. This helps to expand the variety of sound characters, from smooth distortion to rough, grainy distortion.
