■Introduced in 2001, the Bogner Uberschall amplifier is still hand-built, one by one, in Los Angeles, California. Dubbed ""Armageddon in a Box,"" this ferocious Uberschall pedal perfectly recreates the brutal, brutal high-gain sound of the Uberschall amplifier. While the Uberschall pedal can deliver classic low- and medium-gain sounds, its true essence lies in its brutal, all-consuming high-gain sound! Bogner amplifier designer Reinhold foregoes op-amps and diode clipping when designing the Uberschall pedal, instead using five discrete Class-A gain stages to perfectly recreate the high-gain channel of the Uberschall amplifier. This innovative approach delivers a clear, touch-sensitive sound with exceptional separation never before achieved in distortion pedals. The Uberschall operates from either a 9V battery or a 9V DC power supply, with Reinhold's advanced circuit design significantly boosting the voltage internally. This high voltage gives the sound an incredible dynamic range, similar to the tube design of the legendary Uberschall amplifier.
