A 2ch amp simulator / preamp pedal that reproduces the sound of the Mesa Boogie Rectifier preamp. By connecting to the FX RETURN of a guitar amp, you can create sounds that are not affected by the character of the amp. In addition, it is equipped with a new "OUT DRIVE" terminal, and can be used by connecting it to the input of an amplifier like a general distortion pedal.

■ 2ch guitar amp simulator / preamp / distortion pedal
The second pedal-type preamp series that perfectly reproduces the sound of a well-known guitar amp preamp with a compact analog circuit. By newly installing the "OUT DRIVE" terminal, it is possible to connect to the input of a guitar amplifier not only as a preamp but also as a distortion effect. In addition, a clean channel common to all models has been newly implemented. It offers a wider range of sound variations and flexibility.

The R-2 was used by all players from fusion to hard rock in the 1970s and 1980s. It targets the sound of the Mesa Boogie Rectifier. From clean to overdrive, it has a core and is well-cleared, achieving a relaxed tone.

■ 2ch specifications
The output from the "OUT PREAMP" and "OUT CAB.SIM." Terminals operates as a clean and read 2ch preamplifier. When the effect is off, the EQ is bypassed and the channel switches to a 1-volume clean channel. The clean channel sound character is common to all models and is a FENDER amp style sound. In addition, the tone balance of the clean channel can be switched with the "CL.BOOST" switch. At the output from the "OUT DRIVE" pin, the clean channel is disabled and bypassed.

■ Connection
Three types of output terminals can be used at the same time according to the application.

・ OUT DRIVE:
When connecting the preamp section of a guitar amp and this unit in series, connect this terminal to the input of the guitar amp. At this output, the unit's clean channel is disabled and bypassed.

・ OUT PREAMP:
You can get the output from the preamplifier. Connect to the FX RETURN or power amplifier of your guitar amp.

・ OUT CAB.SIM .:
Outputs sound with cabinet emulation added to the output from the preamp. It can be directly connected to a mixer or interface.
When this terminal is not connected, the power consumption is automatically reduced from 6mA to 4mA, which is also excellent in power saving.
