スリンキーシリーズの弦と比べると、とにかくピッチ感がよくテンション感もちょっと強いです。
鳴らした感じパワーもしっかり有り、アーニーボール特有？のピーキーなハイ（シャリシャリした上の帯域）キツい感じがあまりなく、割と落ち着いたトーンです。
生音で鳴らしても、スリンキーシリーズの弦より大きいです。
音は程よく太くクリアな感じでバッキング、リード共に文句なしで使えます。
あとは、少し錆びずらく劣化しにくい感じはします。
ライブでも弦が伸びづらく、ピッチが安定する為安心感があり、コバルトシリーズを使い始めてからは、これ以外の弦がしっくりこなく離れられなくなりました。
