Electro-Harmonix's latest technology has condensed the sound of a sitar into a pedal-sized instrument. It supports chords, and the drone of the sympathetic strings responds dynamically to your playing. The sympathetic strings can be set to any scale. Two pressure pedal inputs are provided: one for varying the pitch of the tonic note and the other for adjusting the volume of the sympathetic strings. By utilizing these controls, you can play with the natural feel of a real sitar.

エレキギターを繋げばシタールの音に大変身！シタール風とか生半可なものではなく、正にあのシタールの音なんです。リードと共鳴弦の音色を個別でコントロールできるので、ハモらせながらのソロプレイも楽しめます。また正統派な音だけでなく、少しシンセっぽくエフェクトをかけた音も楽しめるので飽きずにに楽しむことができます。60年代テイストの心くすぐる秀逸なデザインと色合いがとてもヒップで、ラーガ・ロックや60年代後半のノーザン・ソウルを演奏する方にはまさに鳥肌もののマスト・アイテムです。

飛び道具

ピッチシフターとコーラスとリバーブなどを使ったら似た音が出るような気もしますが、シタール独特のうねりや、ドローンの音があるので、シタール感は強いです。えぐみが強いので、飛び道具として最適かと思います。

ただ、シタールっぽい音得るためだけに26000円はちょっとお高いのでもう少し気軽に買えたら良いかなとも思います。
