■MIDI Interface

- The i-MX1 is a Core MIDI-compatible interface cable that combines iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch applications with musical instruments for mobile music creation.

- No complicated setup is required. Simply connect your iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch to a MIDI-equipped instrument, such as a synthesizer, electronic drums, or digital piano, and launch a compatible application to play the sounds in the application using the real instrument.

- We also offer a lineup of applications that expand the use of Yamaha synthesizers and other instruments. Features include ""Faders & XY Pad,"" which lets you freely control tones using multiple faders, and ""Keyboard Arp & Drum Pad,"" which lets you play drums and arpeggiators with just one finger, providing new ways to enjoy your existing instruments.

意外にレビューがないようなので．．．
iOSのCoreMIDI対応のアプリなら何でも問題なく利用できるので、結構使えると思います。
IK MultimediaのSampleTankも、iRig MIDIでないと使えないのかと思っていたのですが、本製品でも問題なく利用できました。
取説を読み込むような必要もないし、ごく簡単に利用できるので、そういう意味では良い製品と思います。後は、同種の製品の中では小さいのも良い点かと思います。
ただし、MIDI THRU がないので、ちょっと凝った設定でMIDI機器を接続して使いたい向きには不便かも知れません。
