FURMAN / PST-8D

This FURMAN AC power conditioner is used in a variety of professional settings around the world, including audio, video, and broadcasting. Equipped with a lightning surge protection circuit and noise filter, it brings professional-quality power conditioning to the home. It features four analog outlets and four digital/video outlets.

■ Power Conditioner
The PST-8D is equipped with the same SMP, LiFT, and EVS as the rack-type PL-C series. It also features a high-current TVZ-MOV to suppress noise from video equipment. Because it's a table tap type, it's recommended for those who have trouble finding space to place a rack-type inverter.

■ SMP (Series Mode Protection)
The unique SMP (Series Mode Protection) technology ensures a trouble-free environment. Previous surge filters often suffered from frequent transient voltage spikes, causing the system to malfunction and requiring repairs such as part replacement. However, SMP attenuates and safely absorbs momentary voltage spikes. This prevents damage to components, allowing for worry-free operation without the need for repairs.

■LiFT Noise Filter
Traditional AC filters, whether multi-stage or older series mode, have a non-linear design that degrades audio and video quality. In real-world environments, power lines can be contaminated with noise of over 10dB. Even worse, improper equipment grounding or excessive voltage spikes can sometimes damage digital data and converters. Furman's unique LiFT takes a different approach, delivering more reliable performance and superior sound quality without ground leakage.

■EVS Voltage Protection
Equipped with an automatic shutdown function to protect your equipment from abnormal voltages if excessive high or low voltages occur due to malfunctions or incorrect connections.

■ Isolated Bank
The rear outlets are divided into an analog bank (4 ports) and a digital/video bank (4 ports) with additional filtering. Each bank has separate circuitry to prevent internal interference and noise.
