- The housing is made of a lightweight and durable magnesium alloy. Integrating the housing and driver unit suppresses unnecessary vibrations, reproducing smooth response in the low-frequency range and clear sound in the mid- and high-frequency ranges.
■ Manual sound quality adjustment with a proprietary acoustic adjustment mechanism
- Each unit is precisely measured and the constants of the acoustic resistance material are adjusted by hand. Only products that pass strict sound quality control are shipped to ensure ideal characteristics. Precision-controlled acoustic tuning components and a proprietary acoustic tuning mechanism allow for stepless, subtle constant adjustment, resulting in sound quality controlled with unprecedented precision.
■High-purity 7N-OFC Litz wire minimizes music signal transmission loss
- The signal transmission cable uses OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper), boasting a high purity of 7N grade (99.99999%). Signal loss during transmission is minimized, minimizing sound degradation.
■Closed vertical in-ear system
- The large 16mm diameter driver unit employs a closed vertical in-ear system, positioning the driver unit perpendicular to the ear canal. Furthermore, to minimize the thickness of the housing, which significantly affects wearability, a high-strength magnesium alloy is used for the housing. This reduces the housing thickness by more than 30% compared to when using standard resin materials.

本当にフラットです

以前からER-4Pを愛用しており、低音に若干不満があったため、今回これを購入してみました。
ヘッドホンアンプはValve-Xを使用しています。
以下はエージング後の感想です。
・エージング時間：
　XLOのBurn-inで70時間程度エージングしました。
　最初はジャリジャリ感が強くて聞くに耐えない感じでしたが、50時間程度で変わりました。50時間と70時間では差をあまり感じませんでしたので、エージングはおよそ50時間程度必要な様です。
・聴覚上の周波数特性
　自分の耳は正弦波信号で27Hzあたりから17000Hzあたりまで聞こえます。
　正弦波スイープ信号を聞いてみたところ、耳の最下限の27Hz付近からしっかり聞こえ、最上限の17000Hz付近まで特に気なる凸凹も感じませんでした。ER-4Pは70Hz付近以下は音量が下がって聞こえます。中高音は両者同じくらいフラットです。このイヤホンは最低域から最高域までほぼ完全にフラット。今まで聞いたものは必ず凸凹があったので、これはすごい事だと思います。
・解像度
　ER-4Pの方が音の粒のエッジが鋭く、音の分離感がはっきりしています。MDR-EX1000はER-4Pよりも音がきめこまかい感じでエッジも丸めに聞こえますが、ER-4Pで聞こえていた音が他の音に埋もれてしまう事はありませんでした。
・定位感
　女性ボーカルが中央で隣り合って歌っている曲で、左右のボーカリストの位置を聞き取る比較をしてみました。これは両者さほど変わらない感じでした。若干MDR-EX1000の方が上にも感じますが、定位感はほぼ同等かと思います。
・聴覚上のダイナミックレンジ
　低域ではMDR-EX1000が段違いに良く、中高域もMDR-EX1000の方が若干良い様です。
・まとめ
　音質面ではもう満足で、言うことはありません。が、ER-4Pも曲によっては魅力的なので、使い分けようと思います。
ただ、最初は装着が難しいです。ER-4Pと同様、しっかり耳の奥まで差し込まないと低音が出ないので、イヤーピースは小さめを選んだ方が良いです。また、耳に掛けるケーブルはうまく曲げないと使用中に抜け落ちやすくなるので慣れが必要です。

驚きました

なんというか、最初に聴いたとき笑ってしまいました。あまりに音質が良すぎて。ほぼ理想のイヤホンです。
今まではshureやSENHEISERなどの有名ハイエンド機種、果てはAtmicfloid、monstarなどのマイナー機種を使ってきました。バランスド・アーマチュア型のイヤホンは解像度こそ高いのですが血が通っていない音がしていたためダイナミック型を買おうと考えていましたが、ハイエンド機種でありながらダイナミック型はあまり見つかりませんでした。
SENHEISERのIE8は高音域に不満があって…と考えていたときに出会った機種がこれです。
分離の良さ、バランス、ずば抜けた表現力！繊細かつノリがよく、タイトでありながら響きも豊かという矛盾！
ピアノもアコギのカッティングも素晴らしいものです。
まだエージングを始めたばかりなので、これからにも期待します。
