■ The turret board hand-wired construction method, which uses only aerial wiring and does not utilize any printed circuit boards, requires a daunting process and advanced technical skill, and is a type of amplifier that can only be found in limited or high-end models today. VOX's Hand-Wired series utilizes this technique and generously incorporates carefully selected custom parts. Its artistically crafted air wiring perfectly transmits the guitarist's delicate touch, the guitar's subtle signal changes, and the characteristics and natural amplification of vacuum tubes to the speakers without any interference.
■This is a true all-tube amp, featuring vacuum tubes throughout from the preamplifier to the power amplifier and rectifier. The preamplifier uses three ECC83/12AX7 tubes, the power amplifier uses four EL84 tubes, and the rectifier amplifier uses a GZ34. Its fat, warm sound is truly the epitome of vacuum tube sound.
■This amp features two channels: a traditional VOX top boost channel and a simple normal channel. The top boost channel delivers the classic AC30 sound and now features a new HOT/COOL switch. COOL provides a classic top boost sound, while HOT bypasses the tone circuit, allowing for a purer sound and ample gain. Switching between HOT and COOL can be controlled with the included foot switch VFS1, allowing for smooth switching and instantaneous adjustment to the optimal boost. The other channel, the Normal channel, has only a volume control and allows for a more natural and clean tube sound. This channel also features a BRIGHT switch for even more brilliance.
