The ELECTRO-HARMONIX Germanium 4 Big Muff is a distortion pedal that combines an overdrive and a distortion effect in a single body, each equipped with two germanium transistors. Each effect can be used individually or simultaneously. The DIST section features Volts and Bias controls for adjusting voltage drop behavior and distortion quality, while the OD section features Bias and Tone controls.

You can adjust the distortion characteristics over a wide range, and when used simultaneously, you can achieve a unique sound that fully utilizes the four germanium transistors.
