The PT-5042-00 is a BLACK TUSQ XL nut for Fender-style guitars with a slotted, flat bottom. It's slightly smaller than the PT-5010-00, allowing for wider string spacing. The TUSQ XL releases Teflon micromolecules as the string vibrates, minimizing string friction and minimizing tuning drift. This results in crystal-clear tone and improved sustain.

TUSQ XL releases Teflon micromolecules when the strings vibrate. TUSQ XL, coated with these molecules, minimizes string friction and reduces tuning errors. These Teflon molecules are released from the nut, so they never disappear and maintain their lubricating effect.
