■The legendary MAXON ST9 overdrive pedal, released in the 1980s and still considered a vintage pedal even though it's no longer in production, is still talked about today. The ST9Pro+ (Super Tube) is a reborn version of the original ST9, featuring new circuitry.
■The mid-range boost control reproduces a powerful, rich sound reminiscent of a stacked amp. The drive control allows for booster-like settings and a wide range of settings, from blues to hard rock.
■Newly equipped with two pairs of diode clips and a low-frequency boost circuit, you can select even more powerful distortion and low-frequency boost.
■The internal operating voltage can be selected between 9V and regulated 18V. The new circuitry boosts the voltage to 18V using the internal DC/DC converter only when 18V is selected. When 9V is selected, the internal DC/DC converter is not operated at all, and the unit operates on voltage supplied directly from the battery or AC adapter. When using batteries, the internal DC/DC converter is not operated, thereby improving battery life.
■By setting the internal operating voltage to 18V, sufficient dynamic headroom is ensured, unintentional distortion is significantly reduced, and you can enjoy consistently high-quality sound.
■The unit features TBS (True Bypass Switching) with a 4PDT mechanical switch. When bypassed, the signal is completely bypassed, bypassing all electronic circuits. Even when the effect is active, there is no degradation in sound quality because the signal does not pass through electronic switching circuits. This TBS is extremely popular with many musicians and guitarists. ■MADE IN JAPAN
