■ The headphone and speaker output sections are equipped with AD8397 (High Output Current) and OPA2134 (High Performance, Ultra Low Distortion) SMD types, respectively.
■ An optical digital output (OPTICAL) terminal is provided, allowing lossless transfer of up to 24-bit/96kHz Bit Perfect PCM signals and AC3 (Dolby Digital/DTS) Pass Through digital signals to external devices (receivers, 5.1-channel speakers with built-in decoders, etc.).

AirPlayでiMacにつないだオーディオシステムのヘッドホン出力が今ひとつなので購入してみました。iOSに標準対応、小型で操作がシンプル、USBバスパワーで動作可能、高インピーダンス300Ωのヘッドホンに対応できる駆動力、フラットな音響特性と言ったところを購入のポイントにしていました。いくつかの候補から試聴を含めた検討の結果として本機を選択しましたが大変満足しています。愛用のSENNHEISER HD650を余裕たっぷりに鳴らしてくれます。HD650はインピーダンスが300Ωと高いので、場合によってはジャンパーPINの設定を変更する必要があるかと思いましたが標準設定で十分でした。音響特性もフラットそのもので、ヘッドホンが本来持っているダイナミックレンジをありのままに楽しめます。検討した機種の中では最廉価だったので少々心配ではありましたが、価格以上のパフォーマンスに納得しています。MacやPCの音楽ライブラリを高音質で楽しみたいと考えている方には自信を持ってお薦めできます。
