This is a John Petrucci model bridge pickup. John Petrucci has been using this pickup since the making of Dream Theater's 10th album, ""Black Clouds & Silver Linings."" The low and midrange are very open, so chords don't get muddy even when the amp gain is turned up. It also features a sharp attack that easily keeps up with Petrucci's solo playing.

心地良い倍音。

MMのJP7BFRにdefaultで付いているので、その感想ですが、歪ませると、倍音が盛り上がり、それがそのままフィードバックに繋がる感じが非常に気持ち良いです。
MM製のギターは、どれであれ、独特のカラッとした音色がありますが、このピックアップ自体も、スペック値程、Midが出ている感じではありません。
歪ませた時に盛り上がる倍音が聴感的にビッグなサウンドを演出しているのかもしれません。
JP7もマホガニートーンブロックを採用していますが、フルマホガニーバックである、レスポールなど、意外と合うのかもしれません。
