The SONIC / TB-402 TURBO BLENDER 4 JAPAN is a turbo blender for Stratocaster guitars, such as those manufactured by Fender Japan, that use metric standards. It transforms your guitar into a thicker, warmer tone without changing its appearance or preserving the original sound. The TURBO BLENDER 4 also features full-up pots on the volume and tone controls, which bypass the circuit when turned full up for improved clarity.

Normal (same as a regular Stratocaster) position, providing a traditional single-coil sound
・Pull-Up Selector Switch: Rear / Rear + Center / Center
As you turn down the blender, the sound of the front pickup is blended in series with the normal sound.
Because it is blended in series, the sound becomes significantly thicker and more powerful, unlike half-tones, which are mixed in parallel.
・Pull-Up Selector Switch: Front + Center
As you turn down the blender, the sound of the center pickup is gradually canceled out.

No Blender Function

The ""Turbo Blender"" is an original circuit that transforms a three-single-coil Stratocaster into a guitar with a thick, warm tone while maintaining its original sound and completely preserving its appearance. Since it is not a preamp, no batteries are required. Once installed, the controls become Master Volume, Master Tone, and Turbo Blender (see left image below). The selector switch is made by the durable American company CRL, and the tone circuit uses oil capacitors (Sonic OC-473) for a pleasant tone. Furthermore, the Turbo Blender 4 features a full-up potentiometer for the volume and tone, bypassing the circuit when fully turned up, improving sound clarity.
