STAX / SR-007A

The SR-007A is a condenser ear speaker that uses a sound unit made of an ultra-lightweight polymer film diaphragm just a few microns thick. The large diaphragm achieves richer low frequencies, high resolution, and flat wideband characteristics.

■Large Circular Unit
・The large circular sound unit at the heart of the product consists of a pair of fixed electrodes and a diaphragm made of ultra-lightweight polymer film just a few microns thick placed between them. By applying signals of opposite polarity to both fixed electrodes, the entire surface of the diaphragm is driven in a push-pull manner, resulting in a sound-producing unit with an exceptionally balanced operation. This diaphragm, with an even larger surface area than that of the Advanced Lambda series, enables rich reproduction of low frequencies. Furthermore, an area without openings is provided around the periphery of the fixed electrode to increase driving force, achieving both the excellent high resolution of a condenser type and flat, wide-band characteristics.
■Machine-Made Aluminum Enclosure
・The sound unit, housed in a resin case, is firmly fixed in a machined aluminum enclosure with increased rigidity. Unwanted vibrations are thoroughly eliminated, resulting in delicate and voluminous expressiveness.
■Rotating Ear Pads
・The rotating ear pads, made from genuine lambskin leather, provide a comfortable fit and high-quality sound.
