It generates only a monaural signal in the horizontal direction while maintaining a certain level of compliance in the vertical direction so as not to damage the groove of the record. In addition, this product has a large output voltage. It can also be used by directly connecting it to the PHONO input.

お家に眠っているSP盤レコードがあるのに、蓄音機がないからと再生を諦めている方が結構いるのではないでしょうか？実は現行のレコード・プレーヤーでも、78回転対応のユニバーサルアームタイプの機種であれば、このAT-MONO3/SPを取り付けてSP盤を聴くことができるんです。出力電圧が大きいためプレーヤーをアンプのフォノ入力（MMポジション）にいれたまま再生が可能。私もプレーヤーからプリメインアンプのフォノ端子に直接つないで使用しています。リード線を接続する箇所に4色の配色が施されているので、ヘッドシェルへの装着も簡単でした。SP盤ならではの馬力ある音質が、現代のレコードプレーヤーで蘇る、まさに魔法のカートリッジと言えるでしょう。
