1. Significantly more stable tuning!

Regular tuners require multiple wraps of the string around the post, making them prone to pitch instability due to loosening or twisting of the wrap during bending or using the tremolo arm.

On the other hand, locking tuners firmly clamp and secure the string internally, minimizing the number of wraps around the post to about half a turn to one. This physically eliminates string slack, making tuning less likely to go out of whack even during aggressive playing.
