This innovative nut is made from buffalo bone that has been vacuum-impregnated with paraffin wax. The lubricant fills the microscopic pores created by bleaching the bone, resulting in self-lubricating properties. It reduces string friction and binding, ensuring both stable tuning and the prevention of buzzing.

This process imparts self-lubricating properties to the bone material.
All bones naturally contain microscopic pores. These tiny pores and cavities are filled with natural substances. When bleached with hydrogen peroxide, these natural substances are removed, and the pores become filled with air.
・In the vacuum impregnation process, air is extracted from these pores, and paraffin wax is injected under high pressure.
・Paraffin wax is an excellent lubricant. It melts at approximately 60°C and solidifies at normal room temperature.
・The advantage of wax impregnation is that the strings do not bind inside the slots. When grooves are cut into the nut, the deeply impregnated paraffin wax is exposed at the surface of the grooves. As a result, when the strings slide through the slots, the lubricating action of the wax ensures smooth, gliding movement. This minimizes the likelihood of buzzing, as the strings slide smoothly through the nut grooves without binding. Wax-impregnated nuts are self-lubricating.
