In developing its first desktop audio product, iBasso incorporated industry-leading advanced technologies such as gallium nitride transistors (GaN FETs) and discrete amplifier circuit technology to embody its insatiable pursuit of Hi-Fi sound. Kunlun is the name of a famous mountain in China, and the amplifier delivers high-quality sound tuning worthy of its supreme name.

■ Achieving faster electron velocity and lower conduction loss: Gallium Nitride Transistors (GaN FETs)

Kunlun has applied the industry-renowned gallium nitride transistor (GaN FET) to its desktop headphone amplifiers, boasting electron mobility (up to 2000 cm³/Vs) surpassing conventional MOS-FETs and transistors, achieving higher electron velocity and lower conduction loss. Furthermore, the gate-drain charge (QGD) of gallium nitride transistors (GaN FETs) is significantly lower than that of MOS-FETs, enabling faster switching speeds. By applying this to amplifier circuits, transient response, dynamic performance, and controllability are improved.

Gallium nitride has extremely low internal resistance, enabling higher current driving capabilities.
