Tomo Fujita is a world-renowned guitarist. He is also known for having taught many guitarists at the Berklee College of Music Guitar Department, and he captivates audiences with his diverse expressiveness across a wide range of genres, from funk and blues to rock and jazz.
One Control has supported Tomo Fujita's playing for many years with products such as the PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB and the BJF-S100 amplifier.
This project began with the aim of creating a reverb pedal that would further enhance Fujita's all-around expressiveness.
To realize Fujita's specific ideas and design details for reverb effects, we created and refined prototypes. The result was the Tomo Fujita signature reverb pedal, ""Beth Reverb.""
""Beth Reverb"" adds a new reverb effect to the PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB, allowing you to switch between two types of reverb with a footswitch. Therefore, even if you need different reverbs for different songs, ""Beth Reverb"" can provide everything you need with just one unit.
""Beth Reverb"" includes reverb a and b, with reverb a featuring the PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB sound, long used by Fujita. This reverb effect, designed to maximize the potential of your instrument when left always on, delivers the ideal reverb tone. Randomly modulating the decay time, it creates a spatially diffused sound despite being a mono effect. Its wide dynamic range makes it sound like you're listening from a special seat in a space designed with ideal reverberation in mind.
Reverb b is based on the plate reverb sound, known for its natural reverb tone, but is more powerful and deep. Its soft, enveloping reverb effect allows you to create a dreamy space or emphasize the reverb sound. Reverb b also slightly reinforces the original sound.
This pedal combines Reverb a, which can be used always on and incorporated as the basic sound of your instrument, with Reverb b, which makes a powerful, dreamy statement. By switching between them depending on the song, you can create a reverb pedal that can be used for a wide range of genres and playing styles.
●Controls
Reverb a
・Decay: Adjusts the reverb length.
・Tone: Adjusts the brightness of the reverb effect.
・Level: Adjusts the volume of the reverb effect.
Reverb b
・Decay: Adjusts the length of the reverb.
・Intensity: Adjusts the strength of the reverb effect.
・Level: Adjusts the volume of the reverb effect.
on/off: Switches the effect on/off.
a/b: Selects the reverb sound. Can also be used when the effect is off.
If you switch the reverb with the a/b switch while the effect is on, the reverb effect will be muted for about one second to avoid noise or sound mixing. Similarly, when switching from effect off to effect on, the reverb sound will be muted for about one second after the effect is turned on to prevent noise from mixing into the reverb sound. This does not affect the original sound.
●Power Supply
Beth Reverb is powered by a standard center-negative DC9V adapter.
Specifications: Input Impedance: 500K, Output Impedance: 2K, Current Consumption: 60mA, S/N Ratio: -96dBm, Dimensions: 80W x 120D x 30H mm (excluding protrusions), 85W x 120D x 48H mm (including protrusions), Weight: 390g
