Mythos Pedal / ENVY Red sparkle

<> The limited edition Mythos Pedals model, ENVY Red Sparkle, is now available in Japan! Zach is known on the internet as one of the most passionate Tube Screamer enthusiasts. It seemed time to give this classic circuit a Mythos twist. We started with the iconic 808 circuit and spiced it up with some of Zach's favorite modifications.

The Envy Pro Overdrive features a TS-style design with improved output, a wider drive range, and a fuller bass, making it more accessible to players of all styles.

Envy wanted to offer more options than just three knobs, so they opted for fun and slightly unusual pushbuttons. The Lows and Clip buttons quickly adjust the circuit's most frequently tweaked parameters.

When the buttons are up, the circuit has a more traditional TS-style drive sound. Turning Lows on increases the amount of bass and enriches the overall sound. Pressing the Clip button turns the diode off, resulting in a louder, less compressed, and more open sound.

At the core of the Envy Pro Overdrive is a ""socketed"" RC4558P dual op-amp chip. This is for a very important reason: to allow for experimentation. Zach has repeatedly said that dual op-amps don't sound all that different, but if you want to try different chips, the Envy makes it easy to do so. RC4558, JRC4558, TL072, OP275, OPA2604, LM1458N, etc.

This pedal ships with both MOD buttons set to the ""Up Position,"" Zach's preferred setting.

Pressing the Lows button adds bottom end and reduces midrange.

Pressing the Clip button adds symmetrical soft clipping, making the overall sound a little more traditional.
