BENSON AMPS / PORTABLE DISTORTION 424 MKII

New for November 2025! The 424 MKII is a distortion pedal inspired by the sound created by using the EQ section of a famous T-Company 4-track multi-track recorder. Its raw, dirty sound is so unique that some people even go to the trouble of searching for the actual unit and recording the sound through its circuitry to get the true effect.

The addition of a bypassable buffer circuit allows for sound creation not available with the original.

When connecting a high-impedance guitar, turning on the buffer expands the range of sounds, allowing for a wide range of applications, from clean boosts and frequency-specific boosts to intense distortion. Turning the buffer off produces the same effect as connecting a guitar to an original 424.

Enabling/disabling the buffer changes the gain and sound character, so select the mode that best suits your needs.
