<> Introducing a new, handmade, original effect pedal from KAMINARI GUITARS. Each pedal is hand-wired and hand-painted, with internal parts carefully selected through numerous sound tests.
The Tower Bender Mk II is a British fuzz pedal that utilizes rare germanium transistors.
The final-stage transistor, which determines the sound, is a Toshiba 2SB54 NOS part, a type often used in distinctive Japanese vintage fuzz pedals from the 1960s and 1970s. The first-stage transistors are individually selected from NOS parts made in Japan and the former Soviet Union to match the final stage.
Through careful selection of the transistors at the heart of the pedal, we've created a germanium fuzz pedal that retains the rich harmonics and gate feel characteristic of germanium transistors, while also providing ample gain and sustain to be used like a distortion, making it ideal for modern lead playing.
We prioritized not only sound but also functionality, and the inclusion of a charge pump IC addresses the power supply issue that is a weakness of vintage germanium fuzz pedals. It is designed for use with a standard 9V DC center-negative power supply for effects pedals.
Germanium fuzz is known for its sound being affected by temperature changes, but the bias adjustment knob allows you to play at the optimal setting regardless of the season, and you can enjoy the different sound characteristics that come with changing the input voltage.
■Meticulous selection of vintage NOS transistors: Toshiba 2SB54 and Japanese/former Soviet NOS transistors are individually matched to deliver rich harmonics and a modern distortion sound.
■Temperature-adjustable bias adjustment: A knob eliminates the instability typical of germanium, allowing you to optimize the setting regardless of the season. ■Standard DC9V power supply compatibility: The charge pump IC overcomes the weaknesses of vintage fuzzes and allows for easy use with standard effects pedal power supplies.
