The King Comp is an ultra-low-noise Class A VCA compressor pedal, delivering smooth, musical compression with a distinctive sound. ■VCA Class A Compression

■Control Attack and Release
Unusually found in pedal-type compressors, the King Comp features ""Attack"" and ""Release"" controls, which are incredibly useful. Setting the attack faster will quickly suppress the attack of the sound, resulting in a tighter compression effect. Conversely, setting the attack slower will apply compression later in the sound, creating a punchier sound. A faster release setting provides a cleaner, louder, more transparent compression, while a slower release creates a gentler, smoother, and more spacious sound.

■Buffered Bypass
King Comp features a high-quality buffered bypass circuit, keeping the signal strong and stable even when the pedal is off. Passive true bypass circuits can easily lose high frequencies, especially when using large pedalboards or long cables. This buffer prevents this problem.
