THE AMP SHOP Nishida Seisakusho will celebrate its 10th anniversary in March 2025, and as part of its 10th anniversary project, it will release the overdrive pedal Decade Overdrive!

Alnic, which manufactured circuit boards for handmade overdrive pedals popular with international musicians, produced a small number of the ViVi-dRive, a masterpiece known only to those in the know.
This prototype was given to me by the president of Alnic around 2017. It was the prototype for the ViVi-dRive mentioned above, a very well-made OD pedal that I often had at my feet.
It was one of my favorites, and I would bring it with me to the band I was active in at the time and to free sessions.

When Alnic ceased operations, our shop took over the assets and began producing it.
For our own production, we did not use the production version of the ViVi-dRive, but instead based the circuit on the aforementioned prototype, revising it to reflect the owner's preferences.

■SOUND
The sound is transparent OD, but also has the roughness that the owner prefers. It responds well to picking nuances and guitar volume, and when connected to a clean amp, I often play it with the pedal held down.
It's great for clean amps like the JC, and also perfect for pushing distorted amps.
The fact that it doesn't distort is what makes it great.
