Brian Wampler, CEO and Chief Engineer of Wampler Pedals, is passionate about product development, spending his days researching the sounds of his various vintage gear.
The new ""MINI EGO 76 COMPRESSOR"" was born from Brian's relentless pursuit of the ideal guitar tone. It's a tribute to the 1176 Peak Limiter, a pioneering solid-state circuit compressor first introduced in 1967 that remains a staple of studio gear today. It's a more compact version of the ""EGO 76.""

With simple main control knobs ""LEVEL"" and ""COMPRESS,"" a ""BLEND"" knob that lets you mix the original signal with the effect signal, and three-position ""ATTACK"" and ""RELEASE"" switches, you can not only squash the sound but also add a brighter, richer tone. You can also enjoy an aggressively enhanced, distinctive sound reminiscent of the so-called ""British Mode"" when all four Ratio buttons on the 1176 Peak Limiter are engaged simultaneously.
