MOTION CONTROL SYNTHESIS ENGINE

EXPANDED SOFTSYNTH PLUGIN (ESP) for MODX M

MODX Mをソフトシンセとしてプラグイン化、DAW上で再現する事ができるExpanded Softsynth Plugin (ESP)。MODX Mの正規登録ユーザーであれば誰でもダウンロード、アクティベートして使用できます。ESPを使えば、どこにいてもMODX MのPerformanceをエディットしたりミックスすることが可能となります。

※ESP for MODX Mは2026年1月から提供予定です。

Features a newly integrated virtual analog sound engine. Enables original sound creation and dynamic performance expression.
The “Motion Control Synthesis Engine,” the defining feature of the MODX M Series, is a comprehensive sound engine system. Like the flagship MONTAGE M Series, it combines a “hybrid sound engine” with “Motion Control” to achieve complex, continuous sound changes using diverse control sources.
At the core of this sound engine system is the “Hybrid Sound Engine,” featuring the same sound engines as the MONTAGE M series: the ‘AWM2’ sound engine (up to 128-note polyphony), known for its high fidelity reproduction of acoustic instruments and synth sounds with natural, rich expression; and the “FM-X” sound engine (up to 128-note polyphony), excelling at smooth and dynamic sound transitions. Furthermore, the newly added “AN-X” virtual analog sound engine (12-note polyphony max) digitally recreates every nuance of analog synthesizer behavior, enabling more creative sound design and dynamic performance than ever before.

Control Functions and User Interface for Dynamic Sound
Utilizing “Motion Control” functions like the “Super Knob”—which lets you control multiple sound-changing parameters with a single knob—and “Motion Sequences”—which sequentially control the MODX M Series' vast parameters to morph sounds—enables artists to achieve their own unique, creative performances.
At the center of the user interface is a touch panel offering excellent visibility and operability. Additionally, six display knobs and eight faders (double the number of previous models) are newly positioned at the bottom of the panel. This allows for even greater control over parameters using the knobs at your fingertips while performing, infusing your sound with vibrant dynamism.

Excellent portability thanks to a lightweight, compact body
For active keyboardists who carry their instrument daily, the unit's weight is kept exceptionally light for a synthesizer in its class: 6.6kg for the 61-key model and just 13.6kg for the 88-key model. The MODX M6 features a 61-key semi-weighted FSB keyboard, the MODX M7 a 76-key semi-weighted FSB keyboard, and the MODX M8 an 88-key GHS keyboard, delivering a professional playing feel despite the lightweight design. Additionally, dedicated optional accessories (sold separately) are available: the stable, caster-equipped soft case “SC-MODX M8” for the MODX M8, and the backpack-style soft cases “SC-MODX M6” and “SC-MODX M7” with straps for the MODX M6 and MODX M7 respectively.

A software synthesizer replicating the entire MODX M sound engine is available (Available early 2026)
The MODX M series includes a download code for the EXPANDED SOFTSYNTH PLUGIN for MONTAGE M/MODX M, a clone soft synthesizer designed to enhance live performance and music production workflows. Download availability is scheduled for early 2026.
