Entropic Doom elevates noise and tuned noise to an entirely new dimension. It features a dedicated noise oscillator—what we might call a “Noiserator.” While traditional modular synths have used white noise or pink noise, processed with envelopes and filters to create various effects, Entropic Doom takes modular noise generation into uncharted territory!

Gliss generates two high-resolution signals simultaneously. One signal follows the position where your finger touches, while the other follows the area touched (touch size). These signals provide two distinct yet interrelated types of CV.

Gestures can be recorded for up to 150 seconds, and recorded gestures can be looped, triggered, or clock-synced. This makes it suitable for any application, from long-duration modulation signals for touch control to custom waveform LFOs, envelopes, and oscillators. This is an extremely useful tool, allowing users to create the exact modulation they envision for specific parameters in real time, rather than having to meticulously patch various modulation sources.

Despite its compact 1U 24HP size, Gliss provides clear feedback of values through LED animations visible through the panel, serving as a monitor for both internal signals and externally input signals.

These LEDs not only illuminate and track gesture paths but also clearly display external modulation source values to the performer. Furthermore, when processing external signals, touch controls enable clipping, offsetting, scaling, and smoothing of voltage values, elevating CV utility tasks—often challenging to perceive—into a more performance-oriented realm.

Gliss packs a variety of features through a concise menu. It delivers diverse functionality on its own, including an adjustable 5-note touch keyboard with glissando and vibrato, a 5-step sequencer, wave shaper, and wavetable oscillator. And since Gliss is open source, users can hack, remix, and extend its capabilities.

Four Performance Modes
Gliss features the following four performance modes:
CONTROL

In CONTROL mode, you can generate CV signals with finger touches. You can choose between control based on finger position and touch area (touch size), or combine control using two finger positions and two touch sizes.

RECORD

RECORD mode allows you to record gestures up to 60 seconds long. Gliss starts recording the gesture as soon as you place your finger on the touch strip and saves it when you lift your finger again. Recorded gestures can be played back in various ways, such as looping or triggering, enabling you to create modulation signals exactly as envisioned, like custom LFOs or envelopes.

SIGNAL

SIGNAL mode allows you to manipulate input signals while visualizing them, greatly increasing the flexibility of your modulation sources. By clipping, scaling, offsetting, and smoothing CV, it acts as a bridge for CV and audio signals within your system.

NOTES

In NOTES mode, the touch strip transforms into a set of five adjustable notes. These notes can be played like a finger-plucked keyboard (using expressive glissandos and vibrato) or like a sequencer where notes are triggered one at a time by received clock signals.

Each of these modes can be deeply customized using menu settings.
