マスターのマスター

私のアンプは、プリゲインをしっかり上げた状態だとマスターボリュームの初動が大きく、少し回しただけで爆音になります。

そのため、「あと少しだけ大きくしたい」「ほんの少しだけ下げたい」という調整が非常にシビアでした。

Little Black Amp Boxをセンド・リターンに入れると、必要以上の音量域だけをカットし、自分が実際に使う音量域を広く使えるようになります。

結果として、今まで9時にも満たない位置しか使えなかったマスターボリュームが、自宅でさえ12時付近での細かな音量調整が可能になりました。

音質については、正直「変わった」とも「変わらない」とも断言できません。
ただ、少なくとも私の環境では違和感はなく、「音を犠牲にして音量を下げている」という印象はありませんでした。

この製品は、アンプ本来のマスターボリュームを使いやすくし、セッティングの自由度を大きく広げてくれるツール

という印象です。

特に、マスターボリュームの初動が大きいアンプや、プリゲインを高めに使いたい人には、一度試してみる価値があると思います。
