Next-Generation Professional Audio Interface
The MOTU 848 is a next-generation 28x32-channel Thunderbolt 4 / USB4 audio interface that brings together the company's more than 30 years of leading-edge technology in the pro audio industry. Equipped with a high-performance ESS Sabre32 DAC, it delivers a 125 dB dynamic range. Supporting high-resolution recording up to 192 kHz, it delivers the highest level of audio quality in a wide range of applications, from recording to Dolby Atmos monitoring.
The front panel features a newly developed 3.9-inch TFT display. The 480 x 128 pixel high-resolution metering allows for real-time visual monitoring of all inputs and outputs, and simple menu navigation allows quick access to hardware settings.
In addition, MOTU's proprietary ultra-low latency drivers deliver just 1.8ms of round-trip latency at 96kHz. This versatile unit offers flexible support for studio production, live recording, streaming, podcasts, and other creative applications.
Rich Inputs and Outputs and Advanced Features
The unit boasts 28 inputs and 32 outputs, including four mic/line/Hi-Z combo inputs, eight analog line inputs and outputs, two headphone outputs, two banks of ADAT optical inputs and outputs, and S/PDIF support. Mic inputs 3 and 4 feature dedicated send/return inserts, allowing for flexible signal flow with outboard gear.
In addition, the unit supports the latest workflows with 64 channels of DSP mixing, effects (EQ, compressor, reverb, etc.), AVB networking, and Wi-Fi remote control. The CueMix Pro app allows intuitive routing and mixing control from Mac, Windows, or iOS.
