Marcus King is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist known for his soulful voice, guitar skills and diverse influences.

A native of South Carolina, Marcus King grew up in a musical family and began playing guitar at a young age. His father, Marvin King, was a blues guitarist, and his grandfather was a country musician. The Gibson Marcus King ES-345 is more than just an artist's signature model. It reflects his roots and is a personalized version of the classic model passed down from King's grandfather to his father and then to himself.

He has carried his family's musical legacy on stages around the world. Initially released as a Custom Shop model, the new Marcus King ES-345 was inspired by his use of his family's 1962 ES-345 as his primary guitar. This modern version retains only the features Marcus considers essential, capturing the look and feel of the original.
