Bathing's sound is extremely difficult to describe. By breaking down the basic structure of the reverberation-generating ""reverb effect,"" it can also be transformed into a phaser or multi-tap delay. Ultimately, it's a device designed to reach a world that doesn't exist anywhere else.

OBNE calls Bathing a ""liminal delay."" Reverberation, multi-tap delay, smearing, phaser, and liquid-like fluctuations. It seems like something, yet is nothing. Just when you think you've grasped it, it disappears into the mist.

Bathing was born from an expansion of the ""Dweller"" concept, which stood out among the OBNE lineup.

The basic sound is determined by a delay line divided into multiple stages called all-pass filters.

LFO modulation with multiple waveform options further disrupts the effect's classification. From familiar single repeats to unique worlds of pale, melting clusters that fill the space. Depending on the settings, you can access seductive phasers, eye-opening flanges, and ominous synthesizer-like ring modulation.

Bathing is highly experimental and designed to inspire your adventurous spirit. Understanding every control isn't necessary. Once you find a sound you like, you don't need to worry about how you got there.
