Amped Elektra Development Story
While visiting studios that owned vintage electric pianos, Steinberg sound designer Sebastian Breiter came across the Hohner Electra and fell in love with its eloquent, musical tone. The Hohner Electra is an electric piano manufactured in the 1970s with a sound similar to that of the Wurlitzer and Rhodes. It is famous for being used in recordings by bands like Led Zeppelin. The Amped Elektra is the reincarnation of this rare instrument. Recorded at YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! Studios in Hamburg, Amped Elektra delivers an even more soulful, warm, and distinctive tone through three vintage tube amplifiers, as well as an Electra DI signal.

Amped Electra includes additional IR data recorded from carefully selected vintage equipment, adding character to the reverb section. Includes chamber, spring, and plate data for classic units like the EMT 240 ""Goldfolie,"" Lexicon 224, AKG BX5, and Roland Chorus Echo RE-501.
